  1. Ingredients:
    - 1 whole chicken (about 1.5 kg), cleaned and cut into pieces
    - 3 large carrots, peeled and sliced
    - 2 celery stalks, chopped
    - 1 large onion, chopped
    - 4 cloves of garlic, minced
    - 2 liters of water
    - Salt and pepper to taste
    - 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
    - 2 bay leaves
    - Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

  2. Place the chicken pieces in a large pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce to a simmer.

  7. Adjust seasoning if necessary, and simmer for an additional 10 minutes. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
