Ingredients:
- 1 kg beef chuck, cut into cubes
- 2 large onions, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 red bell peppers, diced
- 3 tablespoons sweet paprika
- 1 teaspoon caraway seeds
- 1 teaspoon dried marjoram
- 2 tomatoes, peeled and chopped
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 liter beef broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 bay leaves
- Olive oilHeat a large pot over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté onions until soft and golden.
Add the garlic and red bell peppers, cooking for another 2 minutes.
Stir in the paprika, caraway seeds, and marjoram, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant.
Add the beef and cook until browned on all sides.
Mix in the tomatoes and tomato paste, cook for 3 minutes.
Pour in the beef broth, add bay leaves, and season with salt and pepper. Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 2 hours or until the beef is tender.
Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if necessary, and serve hot with a side of crusty bread or over cooked noodles.
